Ars as art, flora as nature: the collection's name anticipates its logic. Arsflora is a printed bedlinen collection in which stripes and floral motifs coexist in a balance that forces neither element, allowing them to speak to each other as on a rediscovered archive fabric.
The inspiration is Ikat — an ancient textile technique in which yarns are resist-dyed before weaving, producing soft, slightly irregular edges quite unlike those of digital printing. Arsflora translates this effect into a percale print: the stylised petals and stripes of the collection feature deliberately blurred borders that reproduce the visual depth characteristic of Ikat textiles, while retaining the consistency of a contemporary printed fabric.
The colour palette — soft, never saturated — is built to evoke the range of tones that natural light produces on well-aged textiles: not faded, but distilled. The floral motifs are stylised without being schematic; the stripes frame without confining them.
The base is a lightweight, luminous percale: a fine-yarn, high-density plain weave that delivers a smooth, slightly crisp hand feel, breathable and cool, particularly suited to summer use or sun-facing bedrooms. Printing on percale enhances the softness and naturalness of the colors, making it an ideal choice for contemporary or country-chic interiors.
