The creative principle of Couture d'Art is the reinterpretation of the stitch as an autonomous decorative element. The embroideries do not imitate naturalistic or figurative motifs: they imitate the act of sewing itself — irregular, textured, artisanal — and translate it into geometry. Asymmetric diamonds, interlacing patterns, multi-row bands, wave sequences: every motif is built on a logic of deliberately imperfect stitches, restoring the tactile depth of handwork on a high-quality manufactured base.
The bee — an iconic signature of the Mastro Raphael brand — is reinterpreted through the same language: irregular stitches define its outline without fixed geometry, making it recognisable yet never identical to itself.
The textile base is a high-quality cotton sateen, offered in four colour variants designed to work both in tone-on-tone combinations and in contrasted pairings. The lustrous surface of the sateen plays against the matte texture of the embroidery, producing a visual effect that shifts with the angle of the light.
